Stephen L. Parker, DDS
 Since opening his private practice over 24 years ago, Dr. Parker has made excellence in comprehensive dentistry his goal, with a special focus on cosmetic and restorative care.
After earning his undergraduate degree in 1978 from the University of Texas, he went on to obtain his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981.
Dr. Parker's ongoing post-graduate education includes the Advanced Aesthetic Continuum at New York University, where he gained valuable hands-on expertise in porcelain veneers. He is also certified in the restoration of Branemark, ITI, and Calcitek implants. Currently Dr. Parker is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association, and Dallas County Dental Society. He's also a founding member of the Academy for Sports Dentistry and former President of the Irving Dental Study Club.
Dr. Parker and his wife, Dina, have an 8-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter. When not busy with work and family, Dr. Parker plays competitive flag football: coaching and quarterbacking for his state-ranked team, The Drillers. He's also a Black Belt in American Tae Kwon Do, having competed for many years in tournaments, and learning the hard way about the importance of wearing a custom-fitted mouth-guard! Since then, Dr. Parker has made and provided these vital mouth-guards for several professional fighters and high school football teams. Admittedly a “frustrated football coach in the body of a dentist,” Dr. Parker serves as team dentist for the Southlake Carroll High School football team each autumn - giving him a chance to stay close to the action.

Marissa Y. Garcia, DDS
 Dr. Garcia received her B.A. in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. In 1996, she earned her doctorate from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. She returned to BCD when she was offered the position of part-time Assistant Clinical Professor in 1999. For two and a half years, she enjoyed instructing and interacting with the senior dental students.
Dr. Garcia is highly committed to continuing education, and attends numerous courses throughout the year. Her goal is to obtain a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. Already, she has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education, with concentration on cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Membership in dental organizations include: American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Irving Dental Study Club, and Dallas County Dental Society, where she has served as a Session Host for The Southwest Dental Conference. In addition, she has served a a Mentor for the high school students of Irving ISD.
